JAKARTA - PT Lotte Chemical Titan Tbk (FPNI) prepares a capital expenditure (CapEx) budget of US$ 5 million for 2019.

Johanes Bambang Budihardja, Director of Lotte Chemical Titan revealed that this year's CapEx budget comes from internal cash. The plan is that the CapEx budget will be used to improve several systems at the factory.

"Most of the CapEx is for the Distributive Control System (DCS), because the factory is controlled from one room. The software is old, there is no spare part in the market. So we need to upgrade it, "explained Johanes in a public presentation.

In addition to updating the software, Lotte Chemical also plans to add ethylene pumps. With this addition, the company's total ethylene pumps will be three units. This addition is done to maintain better reliability and supply. Then, the CapEx budget will also be used for the interlock system at the factory. (LM/AR)
