JAKARTA. PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX) will use US$ 10 million of its capital expenditure (CapEx) budget until the end of the year, to increase its production capacity and plant utilization.
Anne Patricia Sutanto, Deputy Managing Director of PBRX, said that the budget would be used for the development of the company's production facilities in Tasikmalaya and the company's other existing plants. The company's Tasikmalaya plant will have a production capacity of 6 million/year.
She admitted that at present, PBRX's plant utilization ranges from 70-75%. PBRX will increase its plant utilization this year with digitalization and automation. "So there are adjustments that affect our capacity," Sutanto said.
Earlier this year, PBRX announced that its CapEx budget is US$ 17 million, which means that 58.8% of the company's CapEx budget has been used. (KR/AR)
