Intikeramik Alamasri allocates Rp 500 billion to add 4 hotels

JAKARTA - PT Intikeramik Alamasri Industri Tbk (IKAI) plans to add 3-4 hotels with an investment of Rp 500 billion. In the last two years, IKAI has acquired six hotels and the company plans to add more.

Intersamik Alamasri's focus is on three-star and four-star hotel business. "But, that does not mean we’re not taking the upper segment. In Ubud Bali, IKAI plans to build a Luxurious hotel," explained IKAI's Head of Property Management I Gede Wahyu quoted from Kontan.

I Gede Wahyu said that funding sources for expansion were carried out through regional roadshows and strategic partners. This new hotel expansion will focus on three-star and four-star hotels with occupancy in the range of 60%-80%.

In addition to hospitality, IKAI also plans to expand its business into the real estate sector which presents buying, selling, renting and operating real estate, buildings, malls and shopping areas. (LM)
