JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) is optimistic that it will be able to improve performance until the end of 2019. Increased revenue and the contribution of digital business and broadband infrastructure development are expected to be able to drive the company's performance.
Telkom Finance Director Harry M. Zenn said, "Entering semester II / 2019 the company's performance is healthier and better than last year."
For information, Telkom's capital expenditure in the first half of this year was Rp 15.1 trillion or 21.8% of revenue. This capex is used for network and infrastructure development, for mobile and fixed broadband.
In the mobile business, capital expenditure is intended for the construction of radio access networks (BTS 4G) and the development of IT systems. While capital expenditure on fixed broadband services is used to build access networks and fiber optic-based backbone infrastructure to support cellular and fixed line broadband businesses. In addition, capital expenditure is also used for the development of other projects such as tower construction. (LM)
