JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) recorded a brilliant performance in the first semester of this year. In this period, the company's net profit grew by 24.7% on an annual basis to Rp 11.08 trillion.
In addition, consolidated revenue also grew 7.7% yoy to Rp 69.35 trillion. This achievement cannot is inseparable from the company's focus on digital business that is consistently growing and showing significant performance. The digital business grew 22.6% to Rp 48.29 trillion or contributed 69.6% of total revenue. Broadband connectivity services and digital services in this business line also grew by 24.4% and 15.6% respectively.
Telkom's subsidiary, Telkomsel, which is currently focusing on the digital business, also showed better performance by posting revenues of Rp 45.11 trillion and net profit of Rp 12.71 trillion.
Telkom's fixed broadband product, Indihome, until the end of July 2019 recorded a total of 6 million subscribers. This figure grew 45.1% compared to the first half of last year. (LM)
