JAKARTA. The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) requested that the negotiation for the management rights of Rokan Block to be completed soon, so that the decline in national oil production can be anticipated.
Satya Widya Yudha, an advisor for SKK Migas, said that the negotiations for the management rights of Rokan Block are only waiting for answers from PT Pertamina (Persero) and Chevron Pacific Indonesia. "So this is what must be sought by both parties," Yudha explained through an official statement.
For information, talks between Pertamina and Chevron have started since the beginning of 2019. But until 2020, there have been no significant results from discussions between the two parties.
Yudha claims, the efforts made by SKK Migas to speed up the negotiations have been optimal. "If SKK Migas does more than now, this institution [SKK Migas] will violate the contract," said Yudha. (KR/AR)
