JAKARTA - Property and technology (proptech) startup Hidup.co.id has raised over AU$ 150,000 in seed funding from angel investors in Australia and assistance from the Small Business Entrepreneur Grants Program in Queensland’s Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

Founded by Steven Ungermann in 2018, the startup seeks to assist foreign nationals in searching long-term accommodation in major Indonesian cities. It has offices in Jakarta and Makassar as well as remote teams in other cities and Brisbane, Australia.

“We want to offer a streamlined experience for foreigners or nationals wanting to relocate in those large Indonesian cities, to find their new home, and be totally stress-free of the paperwork and payment process, without doing pre-visits and being onsite,” said Mr Ungermann as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Wednesday (2/10).

“We want to replicate the successful Spotahome’s business model from Europe to Southeast Asia.” (MS)
