JAKARTA - PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO), the first Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) producer in Indonesia to receive an ISO 22000:2005 food safety management certificate with purified water differentiation and using environmentally friendly packaging. In 2022, Cleo is aiming at double digits sales or around 30% compared to the Company's last year’s achievement. This optimism is inseparable from the Company's achievement. The company managed to record net sales amounted to Rp802.94 billion in the third quarter of 2021, which is an increase of 11.55% YoY from the same period of last year.
Melisa Patricia as Deputy President Director of CLEO said, "This target is fairly realistic, considering the growth prospects of the bottled drinking water industry which is growing positively. Seeing the increase in purchasing power, care about health, and quality products, people pay more attention to the food and beverages that they consume. It also increases bottled drinking water consumption. Previously, in the third quarter of 2021, we managed to record a profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity totaled to IDR136,60 billion, an increase of 44,88%. Meanwhile, CLEO's largest revenue contribution came from the sale of the non-bottle product segment,"
To achieve this target, CLEO has recently carried out massive expansion including, building three AMDK (Packaged Drinking Water) processing plants and opening 88 new distribution branches supported by 383 partners throughout Indonesia. The aims are to increase CLEO products’ market share and to meet the demands for bottled drinking water which is still highly needed in the society. Since its founding, CLEO has committed to the development of high quality and environmentally friendly products.
Melisa continued, “as a company engaged in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) where the movement is very fast, CLEO focuses on fulfilling bottled drinking water, especially for gallon products, which demand tend to increase during the Covid-19 pandemic.” (LM)
