JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IPCC) posted 56% growth in current year profit in first semester of 2018 to Rp 94.8 billion from first semester of 2017 of Rp 59.9 billion.
The company's target for profit this year is expected to double compared to the previous year of Rp 130.1 billion. The IPCC prepared several strategies to achieve these targets, among others, adding 3 hectares (ha) of land at the end of first semester of 2018.
The capacity of 1 ha is approximately 30 thousand units of cars per year. With this addition, it means that the capacity of the company's land to be increased by 90 thousand cars per year
"There is also an additional one hectare for the dock that connects Tanjung Priok to Lampung," said Director of PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal quoted from Kontan.
In addition, IPCC has only become the operator of the Tanjung Priok dock that connects Lampung. In the second semester, the company will also be the operator of the dock in the port of Lampung.
IPCC also targets to become a vehicle terminal operator in several locations such as Pontianak, Palembang, Makassar and Samarinda. For the operation of vehicle terminals in Makassar and Samarinda, the company cooperates with PT Pelindo IV. (HR)
