JAKARTA - To accelerate the implementation of the circular economy in Indonesia, Greeneration Foundation held the 3rd Indonesia Circular Economy Forum (ICEF) in Jakarta on 11 & 12 November 2019. The purpose of this forum was to strengthen commitment of stakeholders and produce recommendation documents in realizing circular economy in Indonesia.
Greeneration Foundation Founder, M. Bijaksana Junerosano explained that Indonesia needs to bring the circular economy towards state policy, through the Long Term and Medium Term Plans that are integrated with economic, environmental and social policies to achieve the SDGs.
"From the implementation of waste management alone, the Circular Economy approach can support the economic growth of of Rp 101 trillion or equivalent to 4.1% of the 2019 state budget with positive impacts on the quality of our environment," explained M. Bijaksana Junerosano.
