JAKARTA – PT Tanito Harum Nickel (THN), a subsidiary of PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM), invested additional capital of USD 27.44 million in PT Infei Metal Industry (IMI). By using the currency exchange rate of IDR 14,336 per USD, the total expenditure was equivalent to IDR 393.37 billion.

In the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (14/12), Ray A Gumara, President Director of Harum Energy, clarified that the additional capital injection was made by purchasing 252,838 newly issued shares, equal to 9.8% of the entire shares issued by IMI. “With this transaction, THN’s portion in IMI rises to 49%,” he added.

IMI is an operator of a nickel smelting facility. On February 19, 2021, THN also channelled USD 68.60 million, equivalent to 24.5% of IMI’s shares. Then, in July 2021, THN elevated its portion by 256,187 shares, turning its portion in IMI to 39.2%.

As of September 2021, HRUM gathered USD 205.54 million in revenue, jumping from USD 136.14 million in the same period last year. Furthermore, its gross profit and current year’s profit also shifted higher to USD 101.80 million and USD 52.01 million from USD 37.41 million and USD 27.36 million. (LK/ZH)
