PT Tunas Ridean Tbk (TURI) is engaged in automotive dealership, distribution and trading. It was established in 1967, under the name Tunas Indonesia Motor, as an importer and seller of new and used Fiat, Holden and Mercedes-Benz cars. In 1974, it was appointed as the official dealer of Toyota, Daihatsu, BMW, Peugeot, and Renault cars for Jakarta and surrounding areas. Then, it established PT Tunas Ridean as the holding company. It went IPO in 1995, the same year Jardine Motors Group acquired 25% of the company’s shares. The company grew fast in line with the increasing demands for private vehicles. It was awarded, year after year, for the sales and services of BMW, Toyota, Daihatsu cars and Honda motorcycles. Since June 2018, Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd. owns 46.2% shares of the company, the same amount with Tunas Group owns.
