Habco Trans Maritima secures long-term contract from China
JAKARTA. PT Habco Trans Maritima Tbk (HATM), a logistics services company, has secured a long-term contract from the Tsingshan group from China.
The contract was obtained through Guang Ching Nickel and Stainless Steel (GCNS). The potential income that HATM will obtain from this contract is up to IDR 475 billion per year, with a contract duration of 7 years.
Andrew Kam, Main Director of HATM, said that the amount of cargo transported for the Tsingshan Group or GCNS is estimated to reach 4.2 million metric tons (MT) per year. "This long-term transportation contract will become a symbol for HATM to prioritize and maintain the level of customer trust," said Kam, through an official statement.
Meanwhile Sam, Head of Energy Procurement of the Tsingshan Group, said that HATM became a partner because it met a number of criteria required by the Tsingshan Group. "(The criteria) made us want to have a long business partnership with Habco Trans Maritima to support our business in Indonesia," explained Sam.
According to data from idnfinancials.com, HATM recently obtained a credit facility worth IDR 150 billion from PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) in mid-February 2023. This credit facility will be used by the company for the addition of a new fleet. (KR/LM)
