JAKARTA – Despite its year-on-year (yoy) profit growth in 2022, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) reduced its dividend by 43.72%. This year's dividend of the fiscal year 2022 is set to IDR 426.01 billion, shifting down from IDR 757.05 billion from the fiscal year 2021.

From the information disclosure quoted Thursday (25/5), Gunawan Arief Hartoyo, Group Head of Bank Syariah Indonesia, confirmed that the company will channel out dividend of IDR 9.23 per share to the names on the Official Shareholders List recorded by June 5, 2023. "The dividend will be disbursed to shareholders on June 23," he added.

The dividend allocation refers to BRIS's record in scoring net profit attributable to the parent company of IDR 4.26 trillion, unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 2.98 trillion, and total equity of IDR 33.05 trillion.

The cum and ex dividend in the regular and negotiation market is set from May 30 to 31, while the cum and ex dividend in the cash market is scheduled on June 5-6, 2023.

Last year, BRIS distributed dividend of IDR 18.40 per share. Its net profit attributable to the parent entity in 2021 was IDR 3.02 trillion, while its retained earnings reached IDR 1.66 trillion, and total equity was worth IDR 25.01 trillion. (LK/ZH)
