JAKARTA. PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), an energy company under Upstream Subholding of Pertamina, participates in East Pondok Aren (EPN) exploration well drilling initiated by PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Regional Jawa Subholding Upstream Pertamina in Bekasi, West Java.

According to PEP Regional Jawa Subholding Upstream Pertamina, this EPN-001 exploration well drilling activity has been successfully proven with extra hydrocarbon supply. “EPN-001 is an exploration well that could improve optimism in new resources discovery, in an area categorised as mature, to immediately generate contribution,” Wisnu Hindadari, President Director of PEP.

Meanwhile, Charles Harianto Lumbantobing, Director of Operation of ELSA, mentioned that this oil and gas exploration activities in EPN-001 will bring in positive result in the endeavour of new oil and gas potential discovery from East Pondok Aren. It is believed to support the government’s target to attain oil production of 1 million barrels of oil per day, as well as gas production of 12 BSCFD in 2023.

“Elnusa surely wishes that this EPN-001 exploration well drilling will generate positive effect in the new oil and gas potential discovery in West Java. We also wish that Elnusa’s contribution to this date to Pertamina EP will continue in the future should there be any development activities,” Lumbantobing said. (KR/ZH)
