JAKARTA - PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) examines the sales plan of products in Alfamart outlets according to the needs of consumers in geographic areas. The plan is to maximize consumer demand and reduce the company's stock load in the warehouse.
Marketing Director of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) Ryan Alfons Kaloh said next year the company will customize all existing stores in terms of products sold. That way, items sold in one area are different from those sold in other regions.
"Customized to the consumers, if in Jakarta, the milk price of Rp 200,000 can be sold, but if in other areas it may not be forced, the same loss, the supplier will get the return, the consumer loss, and we also become the stock load," Ryan said.
He said the changes will be made gradually because the number of outlets Alfamart has reached more than 13,168 units. Transformation is still in terms of products offered, not to the aspect of the design of outlets yet. So far it is still in the stage of preparing infrastructure, systems, and talks with suppliers.
To run the plan, the company uses an existing database, which has already reached 8.5 million who have been registered as members. Per day, there are 4 million consumers who transact in the network minimarket. (HR)
