JAKARTA - PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Logam Tbk (BORN) refused to be linked to the corruption case of the Riau I steam power plant (PLTU), even though Samin Tan, who is affiliated with the company and Nenie Afwani, the company's director, were witnesses at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) .

Kenneth Raymond Allan, Director of PT Borneo Lumbung Energy & Metal Tbk (BORN), said that the management and subsidiaries are not related to the project or synergised to build PLTU Riau I. "The news did not affect the company's operations," he said as quoted from a press release.

The Corruption Eradication Commission has ruled that two eyewitnesses are not permitted to travel overseas for the next six months. The travel ban was released by the KPK to simplify the examination. (LK)
