Indo Strait obtains new vessel rental contract from mining company

JAKARTA - PT Indo Strait Tbk (PTIS) obtained a new vessel rental contract worth Rp 3.6 billion from a coal mining company located in South Kalimantan. The minimum period of the contract is 60 days from November 19, 2018.

Ronny Hendrawan, Corporate Secretary of PT Indo Straits Tbk (PTIS) stated that the new vessel rental contract will add the new income that is expected to increase the revenue. "The acquisition of the company's rental contract will provide promising confidence to the company's sustainability in the future," he said as cited from the company's information disclosure.

In the third quarter of 2018, the company posted a revenue of US$ 8.29 million, higher than the revenue the company gained in the same period of 2017 (US$ 7.83 million). Meanwhile, its gross profit was recorded at US$ 2.95 million, growing from US$ 1.69 million. The financial performance of the company is far better with US$ 64,531 of profit gained. In the same period of 2017, US$ 1.84 million in loss was suffered. (LK/AR)
