Focuses on infrastructuree, CCB Bank pursues 13% credit growth in 2019

JAKARTA - PT Bank China Construction Bank Indonesia Tbk (CCB Indonesia) is optimistic that it can register credit this year to grow by 13%.

 Setiawati Samahita, Director of CCB Indonesia, said that her party is aiming for credit distribution of Rp 12.8 trillion in 2019. The number is up 13.2%from the estimated realization last year of Rp 11.3 trillion. "If the growth last year was only around 11%, this year we are targeting to grow 13%," he said in Jakarta, Monday (7/1).

The bank listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with the code of issuer MCOR this year will remain focused on the segments they have funded so far. Investment loans will contribute a portion of around 55% where the financing will be focused on infrastructure projects such as toll roads and clean water treatment, energy projects, and factory projects.

In the retail sector, these banks also channel Home / Apartment Ownership Loans (KPA / KPR). According to Setiawati, this segment portion is around 8% of Indonesia's total CCB portfolio and the plan will be increased to 10% this year 

In order to achieve the target of lending this year, Indonesia CCB will cooperate with major developers. The focus of the company is to finance medium residential products at a price of around Rp 750 million 

Meanwhile, the quality of CCB credit, said Setiawati, has undergone improvements. "Until now, our NPL is good. At November 2018, it was around 3.21% with net 2.4%. Only we have dropped significantly and it is estimated that by the end of 2018 it will be below 3%," he explained. (AM/LM)
