Gudang Garam is looking for the remaining 25% of the land needed for Kediri airport

JAKARTA - PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), a tobacco company, is looking for the remaining 25% of the land needed for the airport in Kediri, East Java.

As cited from the company's information disclosure, Heru Budiman, Director of PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) stated the company have not built the airport in the location that was purchased by the PT Suryo Dhoho Investama. "The company now focuses to finish the acquisition of the remaining 25% of the land, and document the permit for the airport," he said.

For the information, SDHI, a subsidiary of Gudang Garam, has obtained several permits, such as principal permit No.AU-101/5/DRJU-DBU-2018 on 4 May 2018 and recommend Air Zone using No.B/133/IV/2018 on 12 April 2018 that released by TNI AU.

So far, SDHI has acquired 75% of the land in the airport area. Gudang Garam reported that they needed a new location for the airport. Before, the airport locations were in Grogol, Jatirejo and Tiron, Banyakan, Kediri. The area is 1,258,291 m2 wide. (LK/AR)
