JAKARTA. A total of 13 upstream oil and gas projects will commence operations this year with a production capacity of 240 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOEPD).
Dwi Soetjipto, Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, said that the number of new projects that will operate this year exceeds the figure in 2018. "In 2018, there were six projects. For this year there are 13 upstream projects," Mr Soetjipto said as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia, Friday (11/1).
Some of these projects are owned by PetroChina International Jabung Ltd in the Betara Complex, Kangean Energy Indonesia, PT Tropik Energi Pandan in Arlo Damar-Sriwijaya Phase 2, PT Medco E & P Indonesia in Gunung Kembang, Petronas Carigali Ketapang II Ltd on Bukit Tua, Exxon Cepu Ltd at Fun Well Stream kedung Keris, Medco E & P Natuna Ltd at Buntal 5, and Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV at Bison-Iguana-Gajah Putri.
In addition, five other projects are to be carried out by Conoco Phillips (Grissik) Ltd at Suban Compression, PT Pertamina EP in Kompresor Betung, Manhattan Kalimantan Investment in Bayan Gas, and Santos at Madura Offshore. (KR/MS)
