JAKARTA - PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) recorded an increase in net profit by 30.1% to Rp 9.1 trillion in 2018. The company also recorded Rp 41.8 trillion in net sales, a 1.5% hike.
UNVR Director and Corporate Secretary Sancoyo Antarikso said the company managed to record positive development in 2018. “This is driven by our sustainable transformation efforts, including through innovations and digitalisation in a number of our business operational aspects,” said Mr Antarikso as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Friday (1/2).
In the third quarter of 2018, UNVR decided to sell its spreads category asset. From the corporate action, the company obtained Rp 2.1 trillion in net profit after tax.
Outside the sales of the spreads category, UNVR’s sales grew 2.4% in 2018. The growth was supported by performance improvement in the second semester of 2018, with a sales growth rate of 5.1%. (MS)
