JAKARTA. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan said that the government would prepare a budget of Rp 6 trillion for the 1.2 million free electricity connections program in 2019.
Jonan said that this budget came from various sources, including the State Budget (APBN) and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of a number of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). "There are plans for an additional state capital. The total (budget) is approximately Rp. 6 trillion," Jonan said on Monday (11/2) today, through a written statement.
"The rest is through the APBN through the DIPA (Budget Implementation List) of the Ministry of ESDM for 100 to 150 thousand connections," added Jonan.
A number of state-owned companies involved in funding this program are PT PLN (Persero), Bulog Corporation, Jamkrindo, Pegadaian, Semen Indonesia, Perhutani, BRI Bank, Waskita Karya, Telkomsel, Pertamina, Angkasa Pura, etc. Jonan claims the free electricity connection program aims to make a profit. "But a better distribution of development," explained Jonan. (KR/AR)
