JAKARTA - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) regarding Islamic deposit booking seat financing facilities for purchasing tickets for Umrah and Hajj pilgrimage trips. This sharia financing is given to travel agents for the Umrah Worship Travel (PPIU) and Organizers of the Special Hajj (PIHK).
The partnership signing was carried out by CIMB Niaga Syariah Banking Director P. Djajanegara, CIMB Niaga Business Banking Director Rahardja Alimhamzah, and Garuda Indonesia Business Director Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah in Jakarta, Wednesday (02/20/2019).
The financing facility with the Murabahah contract is channeled to make it easy for PPIU and PIHK travel agents to pay special deposit for booking Umrah and Hajj seats whose status of reservation has been confirmed by Garuda Indonesia.
"We hope this financing facility provides flexibility for the travel agents of Garuda Indonesia's partners in managing liquidity. So, they can be more focused on developing business and optimizing services to pilgrims in the midst of the high interest of the community to carry out worship to the holy land," said Director of Syariah Banking at CIMB Niaga Pandji P. Djajanegara in an official statement.
The financing facility can be used by travel agents who have partnered with Garuda Indonesia for at least three years. In addition, they are also registered as members of one of the associations such as Himpunan Penyelenggara Umrah dan Haji Indonesia (HIMPUH) and Asosiasi Muslim Penyelenggara Haji dan Umroh Republik Indonesia (AMPHURI) (LM)
