JAKARTA - PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) has pocketed a permit to develop a cement factory in Sarolangun, Jambi from the local government.
“On Monday, I, along with Production and Development Director Daconi as well as General and Human Resources Director Amrullah and our staff members, met with Sarolangun Regent Cek Endra at his official residence,” said SMBR CEO Jobi Triananda Hasjim as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Tuesday (26/2).
The development of the factory is expected to positively impact on the increase of regional revenue with tax and retribution contribution. The factory is also expected to increase labour absorption and support the demand for cement from infrastructure projects.
Sarolangun Regent Cek Endra said the Sarolangun regional government is ready to assist in the development permit process.
“The permit has been taken care of. I hope this plan can soon be realised, because there will be a lot of benefits provided by this factory in Sarolangun,” said Mr Endra. (MS)
