JAKARTA - From March 1 to March 21, 2019, the Indonesian government is reopening the SR-011 Series Retail Sukuk offering period. These sukuks are offered to individual Indonesian investors on the domestic primary market.
SR-011 has a nominal investment of a minimum of Rp 1 million and a maximum of Rp 3 billion per individual. For sukuk sales, the government collaborates with 22 distribution partners consisting of banks, such as PT Bank BRIsyariah Tbk (BRIS), and securities companies.
SR-011 has a reward rate of 8.05%, which is paid to investors on the 10th day of each month, with a three-year tenor and a two-month holding period. These sukuks are also tradable on the secondary market after the holding period ends.
In marketing SR-011, BRI Syariah targets its retail customers as investors. "Since the IPO in May 2018, the number of BRI Syariah retail investors has increased to 115.67%. They are targets that BRIsyariah also eyes to have this SR-011 Retail Sukuk," BRI Syariah Corporate Secretary Indriati Tri Handayani said in an official statement on Monday (4/3). (MS)
