JAKARTA. PT Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk (PNBN) is targeting the growth of Current Account Savings Account (CASA) this year to contribute 50% of total third-party funds.
PNBN said third-party funds in 2018 dropped 5.3% year on year (yoy) to Rp 130.81 trillion, while CASA in that year contributed 38.2% of the total third-party funds.
PNBN President Director Herwidayatmo said the decline of third-party funds last year was caused by several factors, such as the drops of savings and time deposits by 1.3% and 8.1% yoy respectively, and the hike of current account by 3% yoy.
Thus, Mr Herwidayatmo said the company will maximise a number of programs to drive CASA growth this year. "We are focusing on [programmes] to increase CASA [growth]," said Mr Herwidayatmo as quoted byBisnis Indonesia, Tuesday (5/3). (KR/MS)
