JAKARTA. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, an entrepreneur and vice presidential candidate of Indonesia, only has 22.62% of ownership left at PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG), after releasing as many as 140 million shares for approximately Rp 533 billion.
Based on the SRTG share ownership report, as of 28 February 2019, the composition of Saratoga's shareholders is still led by three parties, namely PT Unitras Pertama (859.50 million shares or 31.68%), Edwin Soeryadjaya (842.22 million shares or 31 , 04%), and Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (613.77 million shares or 22.62%).
Sandiaga's ownership is less than in September 2018, when he owned 754.12 million shares (27.79%). This means that the ownership of the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta was reduced by 140.35 million shares.
Assuming that the share price of SRTG moves between Rp. 3,600-Rp. 3,800 / share at the end of last year, Sandiaga is estimated to earn around Rp. 533.33 billion from the sale.
In December 2018, Sandiaga acknowledged that the sale of Saratoga's shares was carried out to help finance his campaign for the presidential election, which will be held in April 2019. (AM/AR)
