KEDIRI - Bank Indonesia (BI) is committed to strengthening policy mix in order to improve national economic resilience through synergy and collaboration to amplify economic stability at the national and regional scale.
This was conveyed by BI Deputy Governor Dody Budi Waluyo in the handover ceremony of the BI Head Representative in Kediri on Friday (15/3). In the event, Musni Hardi K.A. was appointed as BI Head Representative in Kediri, replacing Djoko Raharto.
Kediri Mayor Abdullah Abubakar said BI and the Kediri city government coordinated to realise positive macroeconomic conditions in the city. Thanks to this collaboration, Kediri managed to record a low and controlled inflation rate and reduce poverty to 7.68% and the unemployment rate to 3.63% in 2018.
"Going forward, Bank Indonesia will continue to work with various stakeholders to support the position of the Bank Indonesia Regional Office in the region as a strategic partner that can carry out strategic advisory functions well in supporting regional economic growth and development," BI wrote in a press release received by IDNFinancials.com.
