JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) continues to improve its performance in 2019 and aims to acquire new contracts with a total value of Rp 61.74 trillion. The target is 22% higher compared from 2018.
"The projects targeted including the railway, road, dam, airport, power plant and industrial plant projects," said Corporate Secretary of WIKA, Puspita Anggraini to kontan.co.id, on Monday (18/3).
At the end of 2018, WIKA recorded an increase in new contract acquisition of 19.23% YoY (Rp 50.56 trillion). This performance was supported by contributions from various business segments of the company, including infrastructure & buildings which contributed Rp. 41.15 trillion. Followed by the industry segment (Rp 6.46 trillion) and the energy & industrial plant (Rp 1.79 trillion). While new contracts in the property segment reached Rp 1.17 trillion.
Previously, Managing Director of WIKA, Tumiyana, explained that the target of order book acquisition of WIKA in 2019 would be Rp 140 trillion, the biggest yet. The order book target for 2018 was Rp 130 trillion.
This is in line with a number of WIKA's expansion plans. This construction company is ready to step on the gas by preparing capital expenditure (CapEx) of Rp. 16.64 trillion.
Tumiyana said that the plan was carried out to meet the net profit target of Rp 3.01 trillion and projected sales of Rp 42.13 trillion by the end of 2019. (AM/AR)
