JAKARTA - To improve its performance this year, PT Campina Ice Cream Industry Tbk (CAMP) is targeting market penetration in a number of cities in Indonesia through 25 cities, including Bengkulu, Merauke, and a number of regions throughout Indonesia.
Campina Ice cream Marketing Director Adji Andjono said, until now, Campina had reached almost in 33 provinces from Sabang to Merauke. But Adjie admitted, Campina could only reach the capital city of the province and surroundings.
In 2019, Adji said, CMP targets revenues to reach Rp 1 trillion, an increase of around 4 percent from last year's revenue of Rp 961.13 billion. The challenges that may be faced are still the same as before, the rise of new ice cream products that enter the market.
"The new ice cream makes the competition more dynamic," Adjie explained again.
Based on data compiled by Kontan.co.id, Campina recently expanded its business expansion by releasing Campina Gold Ribbon ice cream targeting the premium segment. Campina will also release several new regular ice cream products with flavor variants, and new ice cream products for the refreshment segment.
Although the increase in CAMP revenue last year only slightly increased by 1.73%, but the ice cream producer managed to reap 43% increase in profits to Rp 61.95 billion compared to 2017. (AM/LM)
