JAKARTA - The sales volume of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) grew by 8% in March 2019. The company posted sales of 161,505 tonnes, an increase from the previous year which amounted to 150,071 tons.
President Director of Semen Baturaja, Jobi Triananda Hasjim said that based on data from the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI), the sales volume growth was far above the industry average in the Sumbagsel region which was corrected by minus 14%.
In March, Semen Baturaja's market share reached 25%. "With the highest share of 68% for the South Sumatra region and 25% in the Lampung region which is the company's main market," said the Jobi quoted from Bisnis.
The company remains optimistic that it can maintain sales volume growth in line with the large market share. The company is also optimistic that the target of 2.75 tons can be achieved this year. (LM)
