JAKARTA. Foreign investors are confident to enter the Indonesian stock market. Quick count results that put Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin as the winner of the 2019 Election became the positive catalyst.
Data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange noted that foreign net buy that entered the domestic stock market on the first trading session on Thursday (18/4/2019), reached Rp 1.13 trillion. The first session was opened at 09.00 a.m. and closed at 12:00 p.m.
This makes the accumulation of foreign net buy from the beginning of the year to Thursday reached Rp. 14.91 trillion in all markets.
The shares that became the choice of foreign investors, among others, were shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) (Rp 337.95 billion). Then the shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) (Rp 208.07 trillion), followed by the shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) (Rp 193.8 billion), shares of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) (Rp 127.47 billion) and shares of PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) (Rp 87.01 billion).
