Steady Safe expects to be profitable this year

JAKARTA. PT Steady Safe Tbk (SAFE) started operating again in the beginning of the year after recording zero revenue in 2017. Gradually, Steady Safe ensured its revenue stream rose after obtaining a contract to become a Transjakarta bus operator.

Steady Safe President Director John Pieter Sembiring said that currently the operating fleet has reached 100%. For Transjakarta, Steady Safe is asked to provide 128 buses. Of that number, those operating per day are 116 buses. "Although the arrival since March 2018 has been gradual," he told Kontan.co.id on Tuesday (10/23).

Based on Kontan.co.id records, in March 2018, the number of Steady Safe fleets operating amounted to only nine units. Then in August, the number of people operating had reached 112 units.

Mr Sembiring added that with the operation of all Steady Safe buses, the company's average revenue isRp 8 billion per month. With the improvement in the company's revenue, it is expected that by the end of the year, the company will have recorded profits.

In the first half of 2018, the company still lost Rp 6.34 billion. The amount of Steady Safe's revenue in the period was Rp. 19.96 billion. (AM/MS)
