Export demand for Pan Brothers products increases at year-end

JAKARTA. Nearing the end of the year PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX) has experienced a significant increase in demand for export products. The company is optimistic that it can achieve growth of around 15%.

Anne Patricia Sutanto, Vice President Director of PT Pan Brothers Tbk, admitted that the manufacturer is quite busy to fulfill the demand. "Our realisation [of production] was solid until the end of the year," she told Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (24/10).

Currently PBRX has a production capacity of up to 100 million pieces in a year with nearly 100% utility. Seeing the peak season at the end of this year, Christmas and New Year's Day, the company remains optimistic that its sales will grow 15% by the end of 2018.

To fulfill this demand, it implements a strategy that is nothing but keeping productivity maintained amid high demand at the end of the year. "We focus on increasing production where the growth demand is double digits," she said.

Previously, the company established a partnership with Columbia's outdoor clothing brand for jacket production, which will be mass produced in the winter of 2018. Up to now 93% of the company's sales have come from export markets with various licenses and global brands such as Uniqlo, Calvin Klein, Old Navy , Gap, Adidas, NorthFace, Lacoste, Salomon, Arcteryx, HnM, Express.

Regarding achievements in the third quarter of this year, Ms Sutanto claimed that she is still in line with the company's expectations. However, the details of the acquisition cannot be published at this time. (AM/MS)
