JAKARTA. The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is targeting to complete the study to release its shares in PT Delta Djakarta Tbk (DLTA) by March.

"Delta is under study to be released, hopefully in March it can be completed," Governor Anies Baswedan said on Wednesday (2/1).

Anies also added that in fact, the government had received many offers from investors to take over Delta Djakarta shares. However, this is not easy. Because Anies said the release of Delta shares also needed the approval from the DPRD.

Based on the reports of the third quarter of 2018, the majority of shares are still held by Malaysia's San Miguel at 58.33%, plus the provincial government which has  23.34% of the shares. The remaining 18.33% is owned by the public.

The effort to release ownership of the Provincial Government in Delta began to spread soon after Anies and former Vice Governor Sandiaga Uno began their term as the Governor and Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta at the end of 2017. (AM/AR)
