The performance of GHON will grow moderately this year

03 January 2019 08:26

JAKARTA. The performance of PT Gihon Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (GHON) is projected to grow moderately in 2019, following the tender offer of the company's shares that conducted by PT Tower Bersama Infrastruktur Tbk (TBIG) from 21 December 2018 to 21 January 2019.

TBIG is conducting a tender offer for 51.94 million of GHON's shares. This amount represents 9.44% of all issued and paid-up capital of GHON. The price offered is Rp 1,350 per share. Thus, the total amount of fund that the company will obtain through the tender offer is Rp 70.12 billion.

"Currently the tender offer is still ongoing. We will continue to grow moderately, the same as 2018 at the minimum," said President Director of GHON Rudolf P Nainggolan to Kontan.co.id on Monday (31/12).

Although he couldn't provide 2018 performance results, he assured that GHON's performance in 2018 was in accordance with the company's plan.

In the GHON financial report for the first nine months of 2018,  the company still recorded an increase in revenue of around 17.57% from the same period in 2017 to Rp 79.67 billion. GHON also recorded an increase in net profit of 8.21% to Rp. 23.30 billion in the third quarter of 2018.

For this year, the main source of income still relies on the growth of a number of the company's network, of which the largest is still from PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL).

"(2019) There are some growth from the network of Indosat, HCPT, XL and Smartfren," he said.

According to the initial plan, the company plans to increase the number of towers this year by maximizing the growth of the network from XL Axiata as the main source of GHON's revenue.

"Yes (XL Axiata), we also manage from Hutchinson and Indosat as well. But for how much, I can't say it now," said Rudolf. (AM/AR)
