JAKARTA. This year, PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX) is preparing US$ 17 million of funds to focus on boosting production of value-added products.

Anne Patricia Sutanto, Vice President Director of Pan Brothers said that to improve performance this year, PBRX strives to increase the production of  value-added products. "Adding the value of the company's products to a level that has value added, in Tangerang, Central, and West Java," Anne said to Kontan.co.id on Friday (4/1).

That way, Pan Brothers will still add capacity by modernization, automation, and production digitalization. In addition, it also improves the performance of human resources through continuous up-skilling and re-skilling.

Anne said that the expansion of PBRX greenfield in Tasik will also be carried out by adding its capacity by 6 million pieces of polo shirts. "It will be effective in the second semester of 2019," he said.

Therefore, Pan Brothers allocated US$ 5 million to increase capacity in Tasikmalaya. As for modernization, automation and digitalization, the budget is US$ 12 million. "Funds have been allocated, for Tasik II, it is from the issuance of 2017 global bonds and for others, the funds are from internal funds," she explained.

With all those efforts, this year, PBRX conservatively aims to increase its sales by 10-20% from 2018. Meanwhile, net profit is targeted to remain the same in percentage terms, but in value, she believes there will be an increase due to rising sales. (AM/AR)
