NKE is sentenced to give a compensation of Rp 85.49 billion to the state

JAKARTA - PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIKaccepted the verdict of the Corruption Court (Tipikor) Central Jakarta. 

Djoko Eko Suprastowo, President Director of PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK) said that the company will do as the verdict says as soon as possible. "The way that will be taken by the company is to pay the compensation to the state with the sale of unproductive assets," he said as cited from the press release. 

The verdict by the Corruption Court of Central Jakarta consisted of a fine of Rp 700 million, additional fines of Rp 85.49 billion as compensation for the state, and revocation of rights to auction for the next six months. The company was sentenced on corruption in the project of the Special Infection Hospital of University Udayana Bali in 2009-2010.

Furthermore, Eko Suprastowo stated the company has a strategy to get the project from large and medium private companies, after the revocation of rights to involve in auctions for the next six months.
