JAKARTA - PT BTPN Syariah, a subsidiary of PT Bank Tabungan Pensiun Nasional Tbk (BTPN) recorded a net interest margin (NIM) of Rp 3.08 trillion in 2018, 20.3% higher than the number from the same period of 2017 (Rp 2.55 trillion). Meanwhile, the company's operating revenue was recorded at Rp 3.09 trillion, increased by 20.5% from Rp 2.55 trillion gained the previous year.
As cited from the company's financial report in 2018, operational expenses, excluding Reserves for Losses in Value of Financial Assets and others, reached Rp 1.5 trillion, rose 6.4% from Rp 1.42 trillion recorded the previous year. While the BOPO ratio decreased to 62.4% from Rp 68.8% last year. The Non-Performing Finance (NPF) stayed in the range of 1.39%-1.7% during 2018.
During the period of January-December 2018, the operating income of the company was recorded at Rp 1.30 trillion, increased 43.4% from Rp 908.26 billion gained last year. BTPN Syariah collected a net profit of Rp 965 billion, rose by 44% compared with the number from the same period of 2017. The Return on Asset increased to 12.4% and Return on Equity reached 30.8%.
