JAKARTA. The stock price of PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP) fell 3.94% in the first session of Tuesday's (5/3) trading after the airline decided to permanently withdrew all ticket sales from Traveloka.

Based on Bloomberg data, CMPP stok price dropped by 3.94% or 10 points to Rp 244 per share.

CMPP CEO Dendy Kurniawan said the end of the airline's partnership with Traveloka will not significantly affect ticket sales.

"The impact will not be significant, because consumers are smart enough to find other alternatives to book AirAsia tickets, including through our website and application," Mr Kurniawan told Bisnis.com, Monday (4/3).

Furthermore, Mr Kurniawan explained, AirAsia tickets are still available through conventional travel agents and other online providers, and as such consumers are still able to easily find flight tickets with attractive prices.

He added that AirAsia will not implement a specific strategy following its withdrawal from Traveloka.

"Our sales will be okay, and we do business as usual with other ticket distribution partners," Mr Kurniawan concluded. (AM/MS)
