JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk's (JSMR) subsidiary PT Jasamarga Properti plans to build three hotels in the rest area of three Trans-Java toll road sections, namely Batang-Semarang, Solo-Ngawi, and Surabaya-Mojokerto.
JSMR Corporate Secretary M. Agus Setiawan said the hotels will be built to accommodate preparations for the Eid-ul-Fitr homecoming season in 2019.
"The hotels will be used for toll road users who want to take a break and serve as a temporary resting place, not to stay overnight," said Mr Setiawan in a disclosure at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Monday (18/3).
The plan to construct the hotels will only begin after the homecoming season of Eid 2019 is completed and the construction schedule will be adjusted to Eid 2020. Currently Jasamarga Properti is conducting financial studies and planning according to the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 10/2018 about Toll Road Rest and Services.
