Indonesia AirAsia targets 15% passenger growth this year

JAKARTA - PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP) is targeting passenger growth of 15% this year. In 2018, the number of Indonesia AirAsia passengers rose 13% from 4.63 million passengers to 5.24 million passengers.

"Our strategy this year is expansion," CMPP CEO Dendy Kurniawan told Kontan.co.id, Sunday (25/3). One form of the airline's expansion is to develop a new hub on Lombok.

This year, Indonesia AirAsia will also acquire five Airbus A320 aircraft to increase the number of flights. In 2018, the airline recorded 35,627 flights. (MS)
