Grab integrates public transportation options through the "Route" feature

JAKARTA - On 26 March 2019 - Grab, the leading super app in Southeast Asia, today announced its first breakthrough in mass transportation. First launched in the Jabodetabek area in Indonesia, Grab presents the 'Route' feature that will integrate various public transportation options for the first time into the Grab application. To complete the public transportation option, Grab also connects its services such as GrabBike and GrabCar to serve first-mile-last-mile trips to and from stations or bus terminals. This breakthrough is the first time in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

As the development of Grab services that are well known today such as GrabCar and GrabBike, this new feature that integrates public transportation for consumers is quite good for everyday use. The latest 'Route' feature in the Grab application, which was first launched in Indonesia, will offer a variety of transportation options at a cost of up to 70% cheaper than car-hailing services, but still has the same good quality and comfort.

"Through the 'Route' feature, we provide access to mass transportation options for daily use and the more important thing is that it can be an alternative to private vehicle," said Ridzki Kramadibrata, President of Grab Indonesia.

Users in the Jabodetabek area who choose to use current public transportation options can use the 'Route' feature to plan their trips with accurate public transportation information and comprehensive directions in the Grab application. (LM)
