27 March 2019 10:29

JAKARTA. PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BMRS) has refinanced its debt to Credit Suisse amounting to US$ 106.98 million with funds from the divestment of PT Dairi Prima Minerals (DPM).

BMRS Director & Investor Relations Herwin Hidayat said BMRS's financial liabilities would be lighter after the company refinanced the debt. "The funds were from the divestment of 51% of Dairi Prima Minerals' shares," said Mr Hidayat as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (27/3).

Previously BMRS recorded the value of the sales of 51% of DPM's shares to NFC China as reaching US$ 198 million. With the debt refinancing, BMRS still has US$ 90 million remaining from the divestment of DPM shares.

The remaining funds will be allocated for a gold mine project conducted by PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM) and a zinc mine owned by DPM. Both projects have received 30-year production permits. (KR/MS)
