JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) aims for its net profit to grow by 40% to Rp 300 billion this year.

Agus Noorsanto, President Director of AGRO, said that the growth would be driven by loan disbursement, fee-based income, and bancassurance. “We hope that it will grow between 40-50%. In 2018, our net profit was recorded at Rp 204 billion, at least it can grow up to Rp 300 billion this year,” said Noorsanto to idnfinancials.com.

AGRO targets to gain credit growth of 25% this year. In 2018, AGRO gained as much as Rp 16.7 trillion of Third Party Funds (DPK). “At least it can go up by Rp 4-5 trillion on this year,” said Noorsanto.

Even so, Noorsanto said AGRO would to tighten its loan disbursement, because the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio of the banking industry in Indonesia is increasing. “We hope that the NPL will remain under 3%. Last year it was 2.59%,“ said Noorsanto. (KR/AR)
