Bank Capital recorded a positive performance in 2018 with a net profit of Rp 106.5 billion

JAKARTA. PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA) recorded a positive performance in 2018, with net profit growth of 23.6% from Rp 86.14 billion in 2017 to Rp 106.5 billion in 2018.

Wahyu Dwi Aji, President Director of BACA, said that the company's net profit growth was supported by the Third Party Funds (DPK) collected by the company in 2018. Growth in DPK in 2018 was recorded at 9.28% to Rp 15.42 trillion. "The growth in DPK in 2018 is dominated by growth in low-cost funds (CASA)," Aji said on Monday (1/4) through an official statement.

In addition, CASA also succeeded in increasing loan disbursement by 12.18% in 2018, from Rp 7.14 trillion recorded in 2017, to Rp 8.01 trillion. The company's ratio of Non-Performing Loans (NPL) is still below 3%, with a gross NPL ratio of 2.95% and net NPL ratio of 2.5%.

BACA's Net Interest Margin (NIM) was at the level of 4.20% in 2018, lower than in the previous year (4.21%). Meanwhile, BACA's Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) also declined, from 22.56% in 2017 to 18.66% in 2018. (KR/AR)
