JAKARTA - Medical software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup Medigo has bagged seed funding from Venturra Discovery for an undisclosed amount, Tech in Asia reported. The funding round was closed in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Medigo, which was founded in May last year, aims to build a more connected digital ecosystem in the Indonesian healthcare industry. The startup helps hospitals and clinics improve manual processes as well as connecting with patients, doctors, and other stakeholders such as insurance providers and the government.

According to Medigo co-founder and CEO Harya Bimo, unlike other patient-focused health startups, Medigo seeks “to solve problems for providers first”.

Since March 2019, Medigo has been testing its solution in two government hospitals in Jakarta and over 100 clinics. It seeks to achieve 3 million patient-doctor interactions this year through cooperation with a total of 10 hospitals and 500 clinics. (MS)
