10 April 2019 05:28

JAKARTA. PT Jembo Cable Company (Tbk (JECC) aims to increase its net sales by 10% this year. In order to achieve that target, the company has prepared some strategies, including cost efficiency.

The Independent Director of Jembo Cable, Antonius Benady, said that his party had prepared several strategies. One of them is to continue to make some efficiency in the production cost. "Especially for the production process, and the use of materials," he said on Tuesday (9/4).

The raw materials for producing these cables are around 70% -80% from domestic and the rest from abroad. In addition, they also expand its market share.

While for capital expenditure, this year, JECC has prepared a capital expenditure of Rp 30 billion which will be used for the maintenance of its production machinery. "Because the capacity has been met, this capital expenditure is to anticipate the old machines, only for maintenance," he added.

He added, for now JECC has not planned to increase its production capacity. At present the factory in Tangerang can produce 10,000 tonnes of copper cable per year, for the aluminium cable factory, it has a capacity of 15,000 tonnes per year, and for fibre optic cable, it can produce 2 million single kilometres per year.
