JAKARTA - Lion Air recorded a level of timeliness or on-time performance (OTP) of 85.97% for the period of January-March 2019 with a total frequency of flying 36,000 (400-420 per day on average). This is better than the OTP record for the same period last year (65-70%).
On-time data is the data of the timeliness of the aircraft arrival or departure in less than 15 minutes from the specified schedule. The calculation was made based on Lion Air Group's Integrated Operation Control Center (IOCC) report in the first quarter of 2019.
To maintain the timeliness and facilitate the movements of passengers and aircraft, Lion Air always conducts intensive coordination with related parties to ensure smooth flights every day.
Lion Air serves a network of more than 51 domestic and international destinations with an average of 400 flights per day. Lion Air operates various types of aircraft, consisting of 66 Boeing 737-900ER (215 economy class seats), 38 Boeing 737-800NG (189 economy class seats) and three Airbus 330-300 (440 economy class seats).
